As the water cools in the Bay, sea cows are drawn to the warm water discharging from the Big Bend Power Plant. When the water temperature drops below 68 degrees, dozens of manatees will crowd into the inlet to keep warm. Legendary producer David O. Selznick is in the midst of filming Gone With the Wind, but he has one tiny problem: a lousy script. Selznick employs "the Shakespeare of Hollywood," Ben Hecht. But can Selznick coax a screenplay out of a tinsel town scribe who's never even read the book? In just five days? With only bananas and peanuts to eat? Inspired by real events, playwright Hutchinson has crafted a screwball comedy that pays homage to old Hollywood and takes us behind-the-scenes of one of the biggest films of the 20th century.

A school-wide event will invite Parents, community members, and art organizations to the media center for a viewing of the Uncle Monday art exhibit, student work, and student presentations. The gala will be held from 6 to 8 PM in the school's media center. PM Wells Charter School received a grant from Arts for a Complete Education/ Florida Alliance for Arts Education that is giving the teachers training, curriculum, books, and the Uncle Monday art exhibit. This curriculum explores the book titled Uncle Monday and Other Florida Tales, a unique collection of folktales telling of the diverse people, places, and events from different time periods in Florida. The lessons in the curriculum are meant to stir student interest in, and expand their knowledge about, traditional Florida folklore. The tales were collected by Kristin G. Congdon and illustrated by the late Kitty Kitson Petterson. These illustrations were donated, by Rick Petterson, to the State of Florida, Museum of Florida History and are currently on display in the media center of PM Wells Charter School for all of the students to enjoy. The exhibit runs thru April 3, 2006.
