Short Description: Chattahoochee, 42 miles from Tallahassee is named after the well-known river in Georgia. The name is from Muskogee "chato" (rock) and "huchi" (marked). Located on a high bluff overlooking the Apalachicola River and Lake Seminole is this community a one-time Federal Arsenal during the Civil War.
