Glades County Inquiry:
| Q. | Is there a campground being developed at Indian Prairie Canal on Lake Okeechobee? | | A. | We sought the assistance of the US Army Corps of Engineers for your question. The Indian Prairie Canal ties Lake Okeechobee with Canal C-41A to Lake Istokpoga in Highlands County. Park Ranger Art Ruebenson of the South Florida Operations Office in Clewiston says there was a primitive campground along the IP Canal that is not currently open. He did pass on that Glades County is considering opening it up but that was not confirmed.
