| Q. | I'm planning on visiting Zolfo springs, are here any hotels or inns? is it a historic town? restaurants? what is there to do? can I buy land for a reasonable price? thank you, Donna | | A. | You will probably want to stay in nearby Wauchula. You have a number of motel choices there including the Quilter's Inn Bed and Breakfast. Zolfo Springs is a historic community incorporated in 1913 and the home of Pioneer Park (2822 Museum Drive) with the “not-to-be-missed” Cracker Trail Museum. This is where Pioneer Park Days is held each spring. I would start my Zolfo Springs visit there. There are local eating spots nearby. Land is still reasonable, but the area has been discovered and growing quickly and land is going up as rapidly. You can still buy land for approximately $30,000 an acre and a lovely Florida Cracker-style home for $250,000.

Thank You Mary | | A. | Pioneer Park Days an antique engine & car show at Pioneer Park at the junction of SR-64 & US-17 in Zolfo Springs is held the first full weekend in March. This year it is held from March 1 - 5, 2006

Pioneer Park Days is always the first full weekend in March with an antique engine & car show, flea market, parade with antique tractors and model steam and gas engines and the Cracker Trail Museum in Zolfo Springs.
