Bay County Inquiry:

Q.I am trying to find out any local community events in Panama City or Panama City Beach, FL on the dates of January 20, 2005 through January 31, 2005.
A.
We presume you mean 2006 and while nothing is set in stone at this time the Mardi Gras in St. Andrews festival is normally held around that time with music and entertainment, arts, crafts, rides, games, pirate invasions; a parade with decorated floats, marching bands and “throws” of beads and doubloons. You will also want to review the Panama City Chamber Events and the Panama City Beach Events for the upcoming January schedule. The Beaches usually have their annual Winter Resident Appreciation Day during this (pre-Mardi Gras) time as well.

Q.My husband and I are about to relocate from Memphis, TN to Panama City Beach, FL.  We are unsure of anything in this area.  Could you send me any info. about the areas or give me a web site to go to where I could request the info. that will help us in deciding what areas to concentrate on when we come for a pre-move visit.  Thanks. Mindy, Memphis, TN
A.

Spend a few minutes at the Panama City Beach Community Profile on FloridaView. There you will find all the contact information for the Beach Chamber and the Convention and Visitors Bureau. At the Chamber site you can request a Newcomers Relocation Package, just select the category, Moving to Panama City Beach - Bay County? When you are ready to move and would like realty information among other resources - contact FloridaView again, we can help move you through this process. Enjoy your visit!

Q.We have reservations for December at the Island Breeze Motel at 17281 Front Beach Road (1-850-234-8841)in Panama City Beach.  I have been unable to contact them and am concerned if they have suffered severe damage or just have no power yet due to hurricanes. Can anyone there assist us in obtaining any information?
A.According to the Beaches Visitor's Information Center at 800.722.3224 the Island Breeze Motel in Panama City Beach has closed permanently. They are making way to become condominiums. If you have already paid for your reservations and you used a credit card, you should be able to get the amount credited back to your account. You may want to call the Visitor's tollfree number to find other accommodations during your upcoming stay in Panama City Beach.
Q.I was wanting to rent a booth at the holly fair at boardwalk beach resort and can not get in touch with anyone there. Could you help me to get someone about this. Thank you so much  rene Aldridge 2518 sawyer mtn. rd. Oneonta, Al. 35121
A.The "Holly Fair" Christmas Shopping Extravagancy will be held Nov 18-21, 2004
