| | Q. | Do anyone know how many visitor/tourist visit through the International Drive area per day, week or month. Thanks | | A. | While we were not able to pin down exactly how many visitors or tourists visit I-Drive each year (not giving up yet!). Some interesting information was gathered by Daryl Cronk, the Research Manager for the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau. In 2004, the number of people who visited the Orlando area was almost 48 million. Out of these visitors almost 38 million visited for leisure pursuits. I think it is safe to say, a great number of them probably visited I-Drive as part of their visit with all the activities and leisure hotels located there.

| | Q. | What is the easiest route and average driving time from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale?
| | A. | The quickest and the easiest would be to take I-4 South to the Florida Turnpike and the trip would be around 5 hours depending upon traffic. An alternative route would be to take SR-50 (Colonial Dr) which crosses through the heart of Orlando east and then when SR-520 (Sweet Smith Hwy) breaks off heading south take it to US-95 and down to Ft Lauderdale. Drive time this route around 6 hours depending upon traffic
| | Q. | Hello there !
I have booked my fly-drive holiday to florida this june and hope you could give me some information on any shooting ranges where the public are welcome to try and shoot as many types of guns as possible.
As I have a gun licence in England I enjoy clay shooting, but are unable due to gun laws here to try anything other than a shotgun.
Could you please offer any help?
Many thanks Peter Harrison. | | A. | There are several options. If you are taking your Florida holiday in the Orlando area, there is a fun store in Apopka: Shoot Straight, 407.889.0842.
They offer an indoor shooting range, one-on-one handgun familiarization, rifle, pistol and handgun shooting lanes for conditional public sport shooting. If you are visiting other Florida destinations, we can offer additional choices. Shoot safely and enjoy!
