Gadsden County Inquiry:
| Q. | We have seen advertisements for the Coonbottom Pilau and wonder just what it is and when and where is it??? We are intrigued!!!! We live in Tallahassee and could see for ourselves if the information were available. All the ads just said the date...it must be so well known they don't have to publish the place!!! | | A. | We have gotten this incorrect in the past, (thank you readers for helping us out). Coonbottom Pilau is in Concord, (just outside of Havana, in Gadsden County). Actually, in North Concord on Bainbridge Road. Yes, it is a well-known dinner held in mid-November, with the proceeds going to the upkeep of the local cemetery. We have identified it in the past as being associated with the CoonBottom Campout in Havana (850.539.5741) during the weekend before Thanksgiving. They are entirely separate events. The campout is for bikes only, mostly Guzzi's and BMW's.
