It actually can get cold this time of year....but always much warmer than in northern areas. While the waters then stay around 60s to 70s, if there is a cold blizzard up north, Siesta Key can be as low as 50 degrees, usually warming back up to the mid-70s. The prime times for winter visitors is January-March with less visitors in the next prime time of October-December.
