You will intersect US-27/SR-25 just south of Palmdale and stay on US-27 until you get to Lake Placid just north of the SR-70 intersection at Blairs Den.

| | A. | I would like to tell you Avon Park is in the clear since it was in the path of the smaller but very destructive Hurricane Charley two weeks ago. Noone will know for certain where the eye might hit until 12 hours. In the past 48 hours the eye has moved farther south from landing around the Jacksonville area, then toward Titusville and now closer to Fort Pierce.
FloridaView will be updating information in the FloridaView Blog on the projected path of Hurricane Frances.

VERY WORRIED like everyone else. | | A. | I am certain your father is ok! Highlands County (Lake Placid, Avon Park) was one of the hardest hit as far as infrastructure damage.
Telephone services are down all over and Florida's two primary electric companies Florida Power & Light (FPL) says they still have 500,000 customers without power in Florida and Progress Energy has 450,000 customers still without power in Central and Southern Florida
The weather has been very hot and many residents are still in Red Cross approved shelters. We will provide an update tomorrow.
