Manatee County Inquiry:
| Q. | I read in nicolodean magazine that there is a great family oriented place to stay there however, I cant remember where? can you please advise. thanks Best Regards, Kathy | | A. | We admit, we were stumped by your inquiry. We thought you might be talking about the Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn (formerly the Holiday Inn Family Suites Resort) in Lake Buena Vista, a neighbor to Orlando (866.GO2.NICK). We contacted Monica Luff of the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (941.729.9177). They did not know which "family friendly" hotel in Bradenton, Nickelodeon featured. Monica did want you to know Bradenton is known as a family-friendly area and would gladly mail you a visitor's guide for FLORIDA'S GULF ISLANDS OF ANNA MARIA & LONGBOAT KEY (the Bradenton Area). Nickelodeon Magazine was no assistance either, so we will keep looking – in the meanwhile, maybe another FloridaView visitor might have an answer for your “unsolved” query.
| | Q. | Hi, I was wondering how many tourist on average there were in Manatee county? thank you so much | | A. | In a report prepared for the Manatee County Tourism Development Council, there were there were 2,365,000 visitors to Manatee County in 2002. Of this number 810,000 stayed in paid accommodations and 1,555,000 stayed with friends and relatives, in owned timeshares, condos or winter homes.
